Live Coaching with Karen

Complimentary Session  •  Prepare for Your Next Client Conversation

Thursday, August 20

12:00–12:45 PM Eastern

You finally got the conversation!

Maybe it’s with a former colleague you’ve been meaning to reconnect with. A potential client. Someone who was referred to you. Or someone who has expressed interest in your coaching.

You feel excited… and a bit nervous too.

You may find yourself thinking:

  • What do I say?
  • How do I talk about my coaching without making this feel like a sales conversation?
  • What if they ask what I do and I don’t explain it well?
  • How do I know when to talk about working together?

If you’re asking yourself those questions, I get it.

You’ve probably spent years walking confidently into important meetings. You’ve led teams, advised executives, solved complex problems, and had conversations where a great deal was at stake. And now a coffee conversation with a former colleague can make you second-guess yourself.

That’s normal as you’ve simply never been in this position before.

I’ve worked with many accomplished leaders as they’ve made the transition into coaching, and I’ve seen this again and again.

The good news is that you can learn how to have these conversations in a way that feels completely natural and aligned with who you are.

And it begins long before the conversation starts.

Before Your Next Conversation, Try This

Take a piece of paper and divide it into two columns.

At the top of the first, write: What do I want from this conversation?

At the top of the second: What might THEY want from this conversation?

Most of us naturally prepare from the first column.

  • What should I say?
  • How should I explain my coaching?
  • Should I talk about my offer?
  • How do I move the conversation forward?

Now spend twice as much time on the second column.

  • What might this person be trying to accomplish?
  • What could be changing in their world?
  • What would I genuinely like to understand?
  • What questions could help them think more deeply?

That one shift can completely change the energy you bring into the conversation.

You get to be a coach. What a relief!

Let’s Prepare Together

That’s what we’re going to do during this complimentary Live Coaching with Karen session.

This isn’t a webinar or a presentation. Bring a real conversation, proposal, follow-up, or opportunity you’re thinking about. I’ll coach several participants live and show you how I think through these situations.

Along the way, we’ll explore:

How to prepare without scripting yourself

Questions that create trust and uncover what's really important

How to communicate your value naturally

What to do when an opportunity begins to emerge

How to follow up in a way that adds genuine value

Whether you’re coached directly or listening to someone else’s coaching, you’ll be able to apply the questions and principles to your own conversations.

My intention is that you leave feeling: I know how I want to approach this now.
